Children's offer of the Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve for the Geo Day of Nature 2025

This year, the Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve is once again offering a special campaign to mark GEO Nature Day. Launched by the magazine of the same name, activities have been taking place across Germany for 25 years to get to know nature better. This year's offer is particularly aimed at young explorers aged 6 and over.

On June 10, 2025, children can explore the fascinating world of animals and plants in the biosphere reserve with a ranger. The expedition will focus on the question of why bats, insects and other creatures are so important to nature.

It starts at 10:15 am at the information board of the biosphere reserve at the Nudelwerft in Lauterbach harbor. A parent or accompanying adult should be present. Please remember to wear sturdy shoes, appropriate clothing and insect and sun protection. The free event ends after about two hours at the starting point.
