Clavichord concert
In addition to Johann Sebastian, the focus is on lesser-known members of the Bach family such as Johann Ernst Bach and Johann Christoph Altnikol, who were important to Bach's family life. These great musicians are heard on the instrument which, like no other, stood for domestic music-making in the 18th century and became the mouthpiece of the Empfindsamkeit movement: the clavichord.
