Fellow Lecture by Professor Dr. Eve-Marie Becker (Fellow of the Alfried Krupp Wissenschaftskolleg Greifswald/University of Münster)
The person of Jesus continues to fascinate historians, theologians and religious researchers even after almost 2,000 years. The history of research is extensive. The historically possible knowledge about Jesus of Nazareth in the context of his time has grown once again in the last 100 years or so thanks to further source discoveries (e.g. Qumran). Why and how can a new biography of Jesus be written against this background? The lecture will explain the approach of a current non-fiction project that seeks above all to capture the person of Jesus - in his work and self-claim.
