For 20 years, the ISKRA Oldstars from Leipzig with their conductor Stefan Walther have stood for the best musical entertainment. A repertoire ranging from marches and musicals to hits and rock and pop guarantees an entertaining concert program with many well-known melodies. The best entertainment is guaranteed, because the motto here is: ISKRA Oldstars - the spark jumps over.

The members of the ISKRA Oldstars are amateur musicians in their prime who don't want to miss out on making music alongside their careers and families, which is why they came together in this line-up in 2004. The approximately 28 musicians are a welcome guest at various events. Stefan Walther, who himself spent 40 years as a clarinettist in the Rundfunk Blasorchester Leipzig/Sächsische Bläserphilharmonie - including 20 years as concertmaster - has been the musical director from the very beginning.
