Pop and gospel oratorio by Hartmut Naumann for soloists, choir and band
Hartmut Naumann's work deals with the story of the liberation of the people of Israel after 70 years of captivity in Babylon. It moves between gospel, rock, ballad and hip-hop with impressive stylistic confidence and a "cool" sound and also makes reference to the non-violent opening of the border in Germany in 1989. A piece that fits in with the questions posed by the reformers and is highly topical when you look at the violent conflicts of our time.
