To mark the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen's birth, the Stralsund Literature Circle invites you to a special reading session: On Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 7 p.m., her early epistolary novel "Lady Susan" will be discussed in the Stralsund City Library.
With a great deal of irony and a sharp pen, Austen creates the image of a main character who is as charming as she is calculating. Lady Susan - a young widow, clever, beautiful and manipulative - causes a stir in English society with her flirtations and marriage plans.
A warm invitation to everyone who loves Jane Austen's work or would like to rediscover it. As always, admission is free!
