Song poet and book author Tino Eisbrenner stages his own evening around the great poet Alexander Pushkin. Where it is believed that tearing down monuments to Pushkin could help to destroy Russia's reputation, Eisbrenner lets Pushkin speak for himself, reads his extraordinary novellas, speaks his poetic poems and turns some of them into songs.novellas, recites his poetic poems and turns some of them into songs, then rounds off the evening with Eisbrenner's rewrites of material by Pushkin's heirs such as Vladimir Vysotsky, Bulat Okudzhava and Alexander Rosenbaum.
Eisbrenner is accompanied and carried along by the grand master of German accordionists Tobias Morgenstern, who flies, grooves, floats and twirls over the keys, sometimes in musette style, sometimes in tango style - just as the mood of the poetry promises.
An exciting evening against the ostracism of poetry, as we know it from Eisbrenner & Morgenstern.
