The new concert program is carried by downbeats, Americana guitars, lo-fi ambiances and balladesque piano arrangements. IC FALKENBERG has dug deep into his repertoire and sings and plays songs that have long been missing from his concerts alongside his hits. Of course, these songs also have exciting and amusing stories that need to be told. IC FALKENBERG looks back on a life in which rebellion and self-assertion were always the driving forces. And to a career - as exciting and eventful as contemporary history. Unimpressed by the rules of the music business, IC Falkenberg delivers multi-layered, atmospherically dense compositions with very clever lyrics, hardly any other German singer writes so abstractly and associatively.
A poet who sings here, in pieces that are stylistically so far removed from ordinary rock songs. IC FALKENBERG combines elegiac mood with literary aspirations: IC FALKENBERG writes and sings and plays the piano and guitar, he rubs himself
on the big issues and draws them into his real world beyond the party stronghold excesses. And he takes a stand. Openly and without excuses.
Over 54 years of stage presence and 28 albums speak for themselves, as does FALKENBERG's musical diversity. IC FALKENBERG has been on stage since he was ten years old. In the eighties, he was the singer, composer and lyricist of Stern Meissen.
In the mid-80s, he quickly advanced under the stage name IC FALKENBERG
he quickly became one of the most successful and popular artists in East Germany, selling over 250,000 copies of each of his first two solo albums. IC FALKENBERG's concerts are unrepeatable moments, their open-hearted intimacy and touching melancholy interwoven with humorous stories.
