Everyday life in the countryside as it was in our grandmother's day. Experience traditional crafts while watching and participating: Butter churning, spinning, pottery, blacksmithing, basket weaving and much more. The youngest visitors can put their skills to the test with felting, potato printing and other handicrafts.
Wool and flax were once spun and woven or baskets and panniers were woven from willow rods exclusively at home in winter. You can experience this traditional craft regularly at the AGRONEUM Alt Schwerin!
Basket weaving is a traditional craft that was practiced especially in the cold season, during the long winter months. Willow rods were collected and woven into baskets and panniers to enrich the household.
Tuesday - Friday from 10 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. and on event days
Spiders: Wool and flax were spun and woven, especially in winter, when life on the farms became quieter. The resulting yarn was used to make warm and useful items of clothing for the whole family.
