His films regularly reach an audience of millions and he is regarded as the most commercially successful German filmmaker. Til Schweiger's career began in the television series LINDENSTRASSE, but he achieved greater fame with his leading role in DER BEWEGTE MANN, directed by Sönke Wortmann. Since then, he has been in front of and sometimes behind the camera in a number of successful productions, including KNOCKIN' ON HEAVENS DOOR, KEINOHRHASEN and HONIG IM KOPF, but Til Schweiger has also been involved in successful international productions such as INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS by Quentin Tarantino. He also works as a producer and screenwriter.

On the day before "hmt: Focus on Film", LIWU will screen one of the guest's important films. Til Schweiger's film on April 28 will be "Der bewegte Mann".
