During the historical tour of the Ludorf estate ensemble with its 12th century octagonal church and 17th century manor house, owner Jannis Achtenhagen guides his guests through 1000 years of Mecklenburg estate history.
Participants learn interesting facts about the 1000-year history of Mecklenburg using the Ludorf estate as an example. The historical tour also includes a visit to the unique Ludorf Octagon Church. Its building history reveals the reason for its special architecture. You can even visit one of the family crypts.
The baroque manor house is also a central part of the tour. Its builder Adam Levin von Knuth and his extraordinary career are presented, as is the jewel of the house, a magnificent hall with old ceiling paintings, discovered by chance during conversion work on the hotel.
