Ranger hike through the Granitz forest nature reserve
From the Haus des Gastes in Binz, a ranger will guide you into the Granitz, one of the largest old-growth forest and forest nature reserves on the Island of Rügen. Via the Klünderberg you will then dive together
into the fascinating world of the local fauna and flora of this area. During the hike, you will stop at various stations. Here you will learn exciting and interesting facts about different habitats, symbiosis and historical forms of use, as well as their influence on the ecosystem. The trail continues through the strongly shaped relief of the last ice age, past a small kettle bog, through a meltwater channel to the foot of the "Devil's Gorge". Here the view opens up with a breathtaking view over the Baltic Sea to the chalk cliffs. Due to the active coastal dynamics, there is always something to discover in the area of the beach.
