Numerous traders look forward to welcoming many visitors. An experience for young and old

In addition to the flea market on Lord's Day, the Slavic Village offers curious visitors the opportunity to try their hand at old handicraft techniques and make their own little souvenir of their visit.

Opening times: May/June/September/October: Group bookings possible at any time, then open to all 10:00 - 16:00, last admission: 15:00

How did people live in the Mecklenburg Lake District around 1000 years ago, how did they design their houses, how did they work and what crafts are still part of our culture today?

In clay and wooden huts, craftsmen and artists invite you to join in and get creative:

  • historical techniques such as pottery, felting, basket weaving
  • carving swords or forging
  • Make candles from beeswax or create beautiful souvenirs from soapstone

You can reach SLAWENDORF from NEUSTRELITZ town harbor after a short walk along the lakeshore at Zierker See. Canoeists have the option of mooring directly at the rustic wooden jetty.
