A wild plant walk around the Nesselpfuhl - A piece of nature in the middle of the city
Our native wild herbs can complement the selection of our food and thus help to make our diet and everyday cuisine varied and healthy. It is amazing what edible treasures there are in the forest and meadow. Wild plants used to be used for daily vegetable needs and unfortunately fell into oblivion. They contain valuable ingredients that we can use. My concern is to awaken your interest in herbs.
During our wild herb foray through the meadows, riparian areas and alder breaks we get to know the individual plants in their flower color, leaf structure, their distinctive taste and scent. We talk about possibilities of confusion, collecting tips, use, processing and storage.
At the end we conjure up a small herbal snack and a herbal drink as a sample from the basket.
Dates: 5/25, 6/22, 7/20, 8/24, 9/21, and 10/5/2023 (dates for individual groups available upon request).
