Five of the most exciting musicians on the young North German jazz scene have come together in the Henning Schiewer Quintet to move together, sometimes abstractly and sometimes very concretely, between tradition and innovation, and along the boundaries of contemporary acoustic jazz. They play the music from their debut album "Leaves on a Creek", which will be released in 2025 and which sometimes sounds dreamy, sometimes effervescent and thematically focuses on both introspection and carefree togetherness.
