The "Wittow/Bug Tour" focuses on the northernmost tip of the island of Rügen in the National Park Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft on the Bug peninsula with its wonderful nature and historical legacies. During a short walk, you can learn interesting facts about the remains of the Nazi-era naval air base and explore the wilderness of the national park. The Hanomag takes you through the closed military area and visits the former harbour of the 6th flotilla of the People's Navy of the GDR on the Bug.
The second part of the tour takes you to the old chalk loading station in Wiek, the historic execution site, the "Galgenberg" (gallows hill), to the huge stone set of the Nobbin megalithic grave and to the lonely northern beach.
At lunchtime there is pea soup and drinks. At special places, sea buckthorn liqueur and mead made from cow horns are served.
