Hanne Nüte un de lütte Pudel - ne Vagel- un Minschengeschicht

Kirch Stück: This year, the Friends of the Church of Kirch Stück e.V. will once again be focusing on Fritz Reuter, one of the most important poets and writers in the Low German language.
On Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 7.30 pm, we will be hosting retired pastor Christian Voß from Rostock. This time Christian Voß will read the story of "Hanne Nüte un de lütte Pudel", which Reuter wrote in 1865.
The event will take place in the "Landhaus Schwerin", 19055 Schwerin-Medewege, An der Chaussee 28.

"Ik weit einen Eikbom, de steit an de See, de Nurdstorm, de brusʼt in sin Knäst, stolz reckt hei de mächtige Kron in de Höhʼ; so is dat all dusend Johr west." These well-known lines can be found in his verse epic, but there are also cheerful, pathetic, sentimental and very exciting lines - Fritz Reuter's verses from "Hanne Nüte un de lütte Pudel" offer something for everyone. In his idyllic tale, he writes about the adventures of the two children of nature. With cheerful verses in Mecklenburg dialect - inspired by village life and the natural world - Reuter evokes a feeling of security and home.
On April 24, we are expecting Christian Voß, a proven reader of Low German, who has already made his mark with us several times.

Admission is free! At the end of the event, we will be collecting donations to fund an accessible entrance to the main portal of the church.
