A new and spherical spatial impression can be experienced in Wismar. The monumental interior of St. George's Church, which is over 730 years old, is bathed in a new light thanks to an art project by Danuta Karsten.

On Friday, September 27, 2024, the exhibition "Danuta Karsten Rauminstallation Fragile" will open at 5 p.m. in the Kunstraum St. Georgen in Wismar. With free admission, art enthusiasts and interested people can enjoy the spatial experience of the artist, who was born near Gdansk (Poland) in 1963, until November 10, 2024. A flashlight with black light should be in your luggage, as it can be used to customize the visit.
There will be guided tours of the exhibition on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 3 p.m. and on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 3 p.m. Special opening for the November Lights: on November 8 and 9, 2024 from 5.00 pm to 11.00 pm.
The St. Georgen Church, St. Georgen-Kirchhof 1a in Wismar, is open daily from 10.00 to 18.00 and from October 2024 from 10.00 to 16.00.
