Visitors can take a look behind the scenes of the city museum.
On Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 3 to 4:30 p.m., visitors can take a look behind the scenes at the Bergen Town Museum on Rügen.
The Bergen Town Museum is located in the beautiful monastery courtyard and its clearly structured façade is a dignified reference to great historical events. However, the monastery complex and St. Mary's Church were consecrated much earlier, in 1193. What was the story behind the nuns from Roskilde who lived here and why did the convent become a noble convent in the 16th century? During the tour, museum director Marika Emonds not only allows participants to experience the historic building, but also provides a glimpse behind the scenes and into the normal day-to-day work of the museum. For example, participants are shown new acquisitions from the last few months and told about how they are handled.
An event in cooperation with the Vorpommern-Rügen District Adult Education Center, Rügen Regional Office. Fee: 4 euros.
