This exciting hike takes us right across the 500-hectare compensation area at the Großer Koblentzer See. The area has developed into a real bird paradise following significant waterlogging.
Lapwings and skylarks frolic in the meadows and pastures and the sky goats "bleat" in the sky. The calls of cranes and bitterns echo from the reeds. On the lakeshore, we count how many marsh orchids are growing this year. We might even see the redshank or the large fritillary, both species that have reappeared here after the renaturation.
