The Müritz National Park is part of the Mecklenburg Lake District - the numerous lakes cover 13 percent of the area. You can explore the variety of lakes around the Müritz by canoe or kayak and experience unspoiled nature.
The meeting point is the Paddel-Paul canoe rental in Schillersdorf. After a brief welcome, paddles and life jackets are handed out and paddling techniques and behavior on the water are explained.
Everyone gets into the boat from the jetty and the tour begins. Accompanied by an experienced canoe instructor, you will immerse yourself in the Müritz National Park and enjoy an unforgettable nature experience. The trip takes you through the Woterfitzsee lake, which is surrounded by many fish ponds and therefore offers ideal hunting conditions for large birds of prey. Perhaps we will be lucky and see a white-tailed eagle hunting. We continue through the Caarpsee to the Bolter lock. There we transfer the boats and paddle along narrow threads past the typical boathouses to the banks of the Müritz. Here we can treat ourselves in the restaurant or with the Müritz fishermen and enjoy the second largest inland lake in Germany. If the weather permits, there is of course nothing to stop us having a quick dip in the Müritz. After a 2-hour stay, everyone gets into the boat and starts the journey home. We arrive back at the canoe rental in Schillersdorf in the evening.
