Every year in the fall, from September to October, the National Park of Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft offers a fascinating natural spectacle. The area around the Barther Bodden up to the Rügen Bock region is one of the largest crane resting places in Central Europe. At peak times in early to mid-October, around 80,000 cranes rest here on their flight south to replenish their energy reserves for the long flight to their winter quarters. On our crane tours, you will receive in-depth information from crane experts about these majestic birds. Our boats allow you to get very close to the birds without disturbing them.
The trip in the early hours of the morning is particularly special. In this magical atmosphere at sunrise, you can see thousands of cranes flying over the Bodden towards the mainland, where the birds of happiness go in search of food every day.
