In 2024, the MakerPort will once again open its doors for the SHORT FILM DAY on the shortest day of the year. Between VR glasses, 3D printers and a smart plant wall, you can enjoy short films in a cool atmosphere - accompanied by refreshing drinks and warm popcorn. The films are provided by the media workshop Identity Films e.V., while the MakerPort team ensures a good mood. ��

Look forward to big emotions with an Indonesian couple under pressure to procreate, a small talk with God, a boy whose brother is deaf and two contrasting characters. Plus the Oscar-nominated salmon spawning migration and an alien who wants to save the world with the help of an enchanted cat.

About the short film day:
Identity Films e.V. has been organizing the Short Film Day in Stralsund since 2016. Originally launched in France in 2011 as "Le jour le plus court" (engl.: the shortest day), it has been coordinated in Germany since 2012 by the AG Kurzfilm - with the support of partners such as arte and the Filmförderwerk.
