The ECKIGEN are celebrating their 30th anniversary with this production!
It all began with a singspiel within the community work under the direction of Frank Hunger: "Noah's Ark". Today, 30 years later, the ECKIGEN, the inclusive ensemble sponsored by the Kreisdiakonisches Werk Stralsund e.V., are celebrating an opulent stage anniversary on the stage of the Theater Vorpommern. They are commemorating their first work for the theater stage "Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten" and celebrating what and how theater can change everything. The result is the musical "Go with us!". Four young people break out of constricting circumstances and want to find their own lives in the places they long for. There is Merlin the magician, Odette the dancer, a young actor and Undine, who longs for the sea. They set off to arrive. They are prevented from doing so by shady characters who present the norm and the numbers. The story is told as a theatrical spectacle in which the play of the ECKIGEN and their physical theatrical presence celebrate themselves. Because in this game, nobody really knows where the boundaries to reality are. Indeed, many don't even know who or what they are. Even the author of the story is searching for his story. And he himself is wanted by the police. This search for himself and his arrival is supported by many artistic companions. These include the Stralsund musicians from Tributary with Barbara Bräutigam and Frieda Gawenda and members of the Greifswald University Orchestra under the direction of UMD Harald Braun, who provide the musical accompaniment for the musical. Jan Bernhardt and Stefan Orlob each have their very own performances. Benjamin Saupe composed the music. The text and direction were in the hands of Gerd Franz Triebenecker.
