- in memory of the artist -
The sculptor Gertraud Wendlandt lived and worked in the Müritz region until her death in 2023. She studied sculpture at the Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee under K. H. Schamal, K. Lemke and W. Stötzer. After graduating, she settled in Klink for nineteen years before moving her studio to Alt Schönau in 1995. She left behind an impressive, multifaceted and very unique oeuvre, which is highly regarded by art connoisseurs and critics.
The human figure is at the center of her work. The exhibition provides an overview of her work in memory of the artist. Drawings complement the sculptural work.
