Classical Music

On Sunday, April 21, 2024 at 4 pm, the Schelfoniker invite you to this year's spring concert in the Schelfkirche.

The orchestra celebrated its 30th anniversary last year with four acclaimed concerts. Now, under the direction of Matthias Ellinger, the ensemble has once again put together an attractive program.

Introduced by the Forrest Gump Suite by Alan Sivestri and arranged by Calvin Custer, the Bacchanale from Camille Saint-Saëns' opera Samson et Dalila follows. The main work of the spring concert is Joseph Haydn's last symphony, No. 104, which sparkles with Haydn's witty humor and inventiveness.

New players are always welcome in the Conservatory's adult orchestra - especially people who play the viola at the moment. Anyone who is interested can join directly. Rehearsals take place every Monday (except during the school vacations) from 20:00 in the Brigitte Feldtmann Saal at Puschkinstraße 6.

Admission is free. Donations for projects of the Schwerin Conservatory are kindly requested.
