He received the "Amiga Platinum Award" for the artist who sold the most records on Amiga and thus in the GDR. Frank managed to compensate for his popularity for decades. Initially a household name almost exclusively in East Germany, he gained many new fans after reunification, and his LP "Weihnachten in Familie" (1985), which he produced together with Aurora Lacasa and their two daughters Odette and Dominique, was absolutely his greatest success. With over 2 million copies sold, it is the best-selling record in the GDR.
