Reading and discussion as part of the Greifswald Literature Spring
A writing project by the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Literature Council
People with a history of migration who live in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern write letters about their experiences of flight and migration, about their arrival in a new home and their life in unfamiliar, friendly, hostile or indifferent surroundings. These letters can also be literary texts, poems, stories. They are read by people with no or completely different migration histories - and answered by them. These people also write letters, poems or stories based on and in response to the letters they read.
During the event, representatives of both groups active in Greifswald will present their texts: The originally written letters and the responses of those who "found" them. The result is a literary reading and an intercultural exchange that also involves the audience.
