In the charming premises of the former Peenestrom Café in Lassan, the Erlangen-based photo artist Gabriella Héjja presents a selection of her photographic works.
The motifs of the "TürGeschichten" (Door Stories) series show the front doors of Lassan. These silent witnesses of times long past are like landmarks of the small town and still give an idea of its better, artisanal past. With her pictures of Lassan's doors, the artist does not want to reproduce what is there, but to make her feelings visible. Individual images are layered on top of each other, colors and shapes mix and become more and more confused until, like our memories, they slowly fade or finally dissolve completely. The pictures in the "Forest Impressions" series capture and hold on to fleeting impressions as they fly by. Dreamy images of forests and landscapes, somewhere on the border between dream world and reality.
