Owl excursion
We will go on a short excursion to a nearby estate park, the habitat of the tawny owl. We will learn a lot about this nocturnal owl species and its habitat, perhaps hear it ourselves and, with a bit of luck, maybe even observe it.
Our speaker is Edgar Schippan (NABU local group Parchim), who has offered this owl excursion near Dobbertin in recent years.
The meeting point is at the Karower Meiler. From there, you can set off in your own car or in a car pool.
The event organized by the Nossentiner/Schwinzer Heath Nature Park is free of charge, donations for the Friends of the Nossentiner/Schwinzer Heath Nature Park for the project "Protecting the darkness of the night / Star Park" are welcome.
Please remember to bring warm clothing and a small flashlight if necessary. The excursion takes place in all weathers, except in heavy rain.
