Preparation for the Jugend musiziert 2025 competition
To kick off the KON-Takte 2025 concert series, guests can look forward to a concert with students from the conservatory who are preparing for the Jugend musiziert competition. On Friday, 17.01.2025 at 7 pm, they will present excerpts from their program in a stimulating concert atmosphere in the Brigitte Feldtmann Saal, which they will perform to the juries a week later in the regional competition.
Of the 60 students who have registered for the competition from the West Mecklenburg region, 31 come from the Schwerin Conservatory. The popular KON-Takte concert series has now been running for twenty-one years.
The charm of this series lies in the mix of the familiar and the unexpected. This year's nine very different events will once again include the teachers' concert as well as the Excellence Concert with pupils from the preparatory department. The memory of ostracized composers will also be kept alive in a separate event. Ensemble Vida will immerse us musically in Momo's story by Michael Ende, the well-known singer Sophia Maeno will ask: "What are Amazons doing in the land of milk and honey?", the Railers tell Tailes from the Railes, students of the HMT Rostock present Own Songs and Flute & Friends promises to be musically very diverse.
