Anne Mundo (ink painting, drawing) and Heike Roesner (paper objects)
Anne Mundo, born in Rostock, attended school in Bad Doberan and Kühlungsborn and now lives and works in Berlin. With this exhibition, she has returned to her old home. Since 2012, she has been working with Asian ink painting and has developed her own drawing language based on ancient writing techniques and Japanese Zen painting. In this exhibition, she shows scenic lines and fragmentary transcriptions in an abstract formal language.
Heike Roesner came from Düsseldorf via Berlin to Güstrow, where she has lived for 7 years. She is a singer and musician and has started to experiment with paper, giving yellowed book pages a new life as witty or enigmatic figures. Heike Roesner not only creates objects out of paper, but also little stories. These are sometimes somewhat enigmatic. The contrast between the works of the two artists could hardly be greater. The clear, sometimes austere drawings are juxtaposed with playful little figures that sometimes seem to be dancing. Together with the two artists, the Kunstverein invites you to the finissage in the Red Pavilion on May 10 at 7 pm.
With the musicians Aina & Andrea, vocals and guitar ... a little lounge, a little jazz, a pinch of pop, a spark of rock ... Their own and others ... with German and English lyrics...
