Painting exhibition by Horst-Werner Schneider
The artist Horst-Werner Schneider paints landscapes using a time-consuming glazing technique, whose formal language is reminiscent of that of the 19th century Romantics. However, he adds a real but often imaginative component of our time to the supposedly timeless landscape. Schneider describes this as his fantastic realism, which, however, is not oriented towards the surrealist movement of the same name at the beginning of the 20th century. The exhibition in the Small Town Hall Gallery shows a selection of these works and will be on display from October 17 to November 22, 2024. Exhibition opening: October 17, 6:00 pm Opening hours: Monday, Wednesday & Thursday: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm Tuesday: 8:30 - 18:30 Friday: 8:30 am - 2:00 pm
