Once upon a time there was a queen and a king...
Shaggy hood
Ambrella puppet theater, ages 4 and up - as part of the FANTAKEL puppet theater festival
Once upon a time there was a queen and a king who had no children and the queen was so sad that she hardly had a happy hour.
And once upon a time there was a woodcutter who had twins. One was pretty and graceful, but the other was wild and shaggy.
The poor man didn't know how he was going to manage the girls on his own and decided to give one to the king and queen. He gave the beautiful child away "so that she could be loved straight away".
But Shaggy Hood grew up with her father in the forest. Wherever she was seen, she rode on a billy goat.
How the two children found each other and how Fredi, the billy goat, helped them is told and played openly in Heike Klockmeier's marionette stage.
Freely adapted from the Norwegian fairy tale of the same name.
