DEFA film from 1988
The DEFA film from 1988 tells the story of the writer Hans Fallada in the last ten years of his life, when he lived in Carwitz in Mecklenburg, from 1937 to 1947. The film was directed by Roland Gräf in 1988 and is one of the best DEFA films, also thanks to the performances of the actors such as Jörg Gudzuhn, who plays the leading role, as well as Jutta Wachowiak, Corinna Harfouch and Katrin Sass. Due to a lack of music rights, this production could hardly be shown publicly in recent years.
