Fall holiday project 2024 at SPEICHER - book workshop "Apple recipes"
Our fall vacation workshop will be a book workshop. After the apple picking day in the Parow estate garden at the beginning of October, a collection of apple recipes has come together. Now we want to turn them into a book! From Monday to Friday, we will learn the individual steps involved in producing a book. We start with the illustrations using the drypoint technique. The prints are created on the press in the studio on the 2nd floor. These are scanned, the text is typeset and when the digital printer has ejected the printed sheets, it's time to fold and bind them. We won't forget an envelope and maybe we'll come up with an exciting title!
This vacation workshop takes place in cooperation with the youth center Storchennest e.V. in Parow.
We will work with colors and machines. Please remember: sturdy clothing, sturdy shoes and braids for long hair.
