from Dr. Winter from Mönkebude
Heidemarie Winter discovered her love of the water and the people of the north in her early youth. Sailing was a balance to her profession as a dentist. Since around 2007, she has wanted to depict life with nature as a hobby.
She attended courses with Dr. Ortwin Müller, Hartwig Neuwald, Matthias Schilling, Helmut Müller and Marita Czepa and met many like-minded people there. Meeting the locals during a painting week, for example in Fürstenwerder or Mönkebude, was a new and wonderful experience.
The search for new possibilities of representation is her own.
This has resulted in watercolors, drawings and graphics that
which creatively depict the fishing industry in the region and the coast of Western Pomerania.
The theme "Fishermen as a cultural asset" is very close to her heart. She has artistically realized most of the exhibited works on this theme in various forms over the past two years.
So far, her paintings have been on display in Neubrandenburg, Mönkebude, Ueckermünde, Fürstenwerder, Templin and Berlin.
For Dr. Winter, the exhibition in her home village in the Haus des Gastes in Mönkebude is a special concern.
The exhibition can be seen from 12.10.2024 to 15.02. 2025.
