The Rossin manor house tells a multifaceted story that extends right up to the present day. After the Second World War and the flight of the estate owners, the house initially became accommodation for refugees from East Prussia, with around 20 families finding refuge here.
Under the title "Flight then and now - come into the conversation!", Gut Rossin is presenting an exhibition on 08.09.24 (vernissage)
and on 20.10.24 (finissage) a moving exhibition. It shows in words and pictures the results of interviews with people who were displaced and found a new home in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The focus is on refugee movements around 1945, while at the same time the exhibition attempts to establish a context for today's experiences of flight. By actively remembering German history, the organizers want to dispel prejudices, counteract exclusion and start a conversation about past and present experiences.
The exhibition will be accessible free of charge on 08.09.24 and 20.10.24 from 10:30 - 17:30. We cordially invite all interested parties.
