Lecture by Prof. H. Rühle
Rudolf Virchow (1821 - 1902) - physician, natural scientist and politician
As a physician, he created one of the foundations of modern medicine with his cellular pathology. As an anthropologist, he was also interested in the early and prehistory of man and was a friend and supporter of Schliemann. He saw comprehensive education as the path to social progress and influenced the public of his time. His guiding principle was "Politics is medicine on a large scale".

Reading:
Mario Schlembach reads from his novel "heute graben". Mario Schlembach, born in 1985, grew up as a farmer's son next to the Sommerein camp cemetery in Lower Austria. Studied theater, film and media studies, philosophy and comparative literature in Vienna. He has received numerous awards and scholarships. "heute graben" (2022) is his third novel. Schlembach lives as a writer and gravedigger in Vienna and Lower Austria.
