An event organized by the Friends of the Güstrow Ernst Barlach Museums e. V.
On Saturday, January 18, 2025, the Friends of the Ernst Barlach Museum Güstrow e. V. invite you to an exclusive curator's tour through the special exhibition "Graphics: A Question of Form, Part 3" at the Rostock Museum of Cultural History.
This exhibition offers a deep insight into the multifaceted world of graphic art at the beginning of the 20th century, an era in which avant-garde artists used graphic art as a medium to capture the overwhelming impressions of the modern world.
The exhibition focuses on the estate of the art dealer and private secretary of Ernst Barlach, Bernhard A. Böhmer, which comprises 581 prints. As part of the exhibition series "Rostock's Classical Modernism: 'Degenerate Art' from the Estate of the Art Dealer Bernhard A. Böhmer", these works are being presented to the public in full for the first time.
A visit to the Rostock Museum of Cultural History is free of charge; a fee of €3 is charged for the guided tour. A photo permit can be purchased for an additional €2. The journey is individual, carpooling is possible.
Registration until January 15, 2025 at the Ernst Barlach Museums Güstrow. For further information and registration, please call 03843 84410 or send an e-mail to info@barlach-museen.de and freunde_barlach.gue@t-online.de.
