"Ich mach ein Lied aus Stille" - Erinnerungen an Eva Strittmatter: From the Schulzenhof in Brandenburg, she gazed into the vastness of the sky and asked the grass at her feet for advice. With her poems full of wisdom and longing, Eva Strittmatter (1930 - 2011) still speaks to many people after her death, giving them encouragement for their everyday lives.
For her book "Eva Strittmatter. Leib und Leben" (published by Aufbau Verlag Berlin in 2008), Dr. Irtraud Gutschke conducted extensive, intimate conversations with the poet and is able to talk in a personal way about her life, which was determined by her hunger for love as well as her desire for artistic self-realization.
The Waren (Müritz) City Library invites all interested parties to listen to Dr. Irmtraud Gutschke talk about this impressive contemporary poet on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 17:00.
