A lively Christmas program from the Fritz-Reuter-Bühne put together by Sandra Keck
"I'm going home for Christmas / and I'm looking forward to seeing you / I'm going home for Christmas / because I'm not alone today."
Snow-covered journeys home along dark country roads to be with loved ones in time for Christmas. To avoid dozing off, the car radio is switched on and swinging Christmas songs by Sinatra and co. ring through the night. But what would it be like if you were driving through snow-covered chestnut avenues in Mecklenburg at a late hour in anticipation of a roast goose prepared by your mother and the last refuge in the snowstorm is a quaint village pub with people who are strangers to each other, with those same familiar catchy tunes in Low German? This quickly creates a feeling of home and togetherness.
This winter, the charming and song-loving ensemble of the Fritz-Reuter-Bühne will take you into a sparkling world of mistletoe, candy canes, frosty snowmen, glowing red reindeer noses, festive Christmas waltzes and romantic walks in the snow-covered countryside. A program with glitter and glamour, charm and festive contemplation.
