A lively Christmas program by the Fritz-Reuter-Bühne "I'm going home for Christmas/and I'm looking forward to it/ I'm going home for Christmas/because there's no one here alone." On the pre-Christmas drive home through the snow-covered chestnut avenues of Mecklenburg, the swinging songs of Sinatra and co sound through the night from the car radio. But what if the last refuge in the snowstorm is a quaint village pub with people who are strangers to each other? Then how about these well-known catchy tunes in Low German to revive a feeling of home and togetherness? The Fritz-Reuter-Bühne ensemble will whisk you away to a sparkling world of mistletoe and candy canes with a program full of glitter, glamour and festive contemplation. "I'm going home for Christmas/and I'm looking forward to it/ I'm going home for Christmas/because there's no one here alone."

Snow-covered drives home along dark country roads, you want to be with your loved ones in time for Christmas. To avoid dozing off, the car radio is switched on and swinging Christmas songs ring through the night. But what would it be like if you were driving through snow-covered chestnut avenues in Mecklenburg at a late hour in anticipation of a roast goose prepared by your mother and then even got stuck in a snowstorm and had to seek your last refuge in a quaint village pub with these familiar catchy tunes in the heart language of Low German? Because just like a snowstorm that prevents strangers from continuing their journey and brings them together in the most unlikely places, the language of our homeland also creates a feeling of togetherness and cohesion - especially at Christmas time.
This winter, the charming and song-loving ensemble of the Fritz-Reuter-Bühne will take you into a sparkling world of mistletoe, candy canes, frosty snowmen, glowing red reindeer noses, festive Christmas waltzes and romantic walks in the snow-covered countryside. A program with glitter and glamour, charm and festive contemplation.
