Signed - Gustav and Franz Pflugradt
To round off the Greifswald festival year, Gustav and Franz Pflugradt's views of Mecklenburg and Vorpommern can be seen in the KUNST arcade. The two great-nephews of Caspar David Friedrich, also landscape and architectural painters, left us a picture of today's federal state in great quality and abundance. Gustav made a name for himself above all for his fine photographic watercolors; Franz also tried his hand as an impressionist with some success. Together with an exhibition at Chorin Monastery, works by both artists can be seen in this form for the first time.
