Hude musician Arndt Baeck performs songs by Udo Jürgens at the mill - Kröpeliner Mühle celebrates town twinning with Hude

On the occasion of the town twinning with the town of Hude, the talented Hude artist Arndt Baeck will come to the mill to give two concerts. These events will take place in honour of the 91st birthday of the legendary Udo Jürgens and are entitled "The world needs songs - a cream program from an honourable home".
The name says it all: Arndt Baeck, a pianist and singer known far beyond the region's borders, will present a selection from the varied repertoire of the great chansonnier and entertainer Udo Jürgens. He interprets both well-known and lesser-known songs with a great deal of love and dedication, transporting his audience into a musical world reminiscent of the great singer-songwriters.
Baeck will charmingly moderate between the songs and shed light on the special features and stories behind the songs. From the very first moment, he creates a personal feel-good atmosphere that can be felt even on the biggest stage. These concerts are a respectful homage to the work of Udo Jürgens, without any attempt to copy the unique musician.
Arndt Baeck plays the songs exclusively on the piano - the most important instrument in Udo Jürgens' life. Pure and without embellishment, he conveys the message clearly: "The world needs songs - Udo's songs". Hardly anyone else can deliver this message as honestly and convincingly as the born entertainer Arndt Baeck.
