Concert with the Hanover Girls' Choir
Founded in 1952, the Mädchenchor Hannover is one of the world's best youth choirs in its category. The repertoire of the award-winning singers covers a broad spectrum from traditional choral literature to avant-garde experimental music. The focus of the concert in Greifswald is the cantata "Tilge, Höchster, meine Sünden" by Johann Sebastian Bach, an arrangement of the "Stabat mater" by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, and the plea for redemption is also taken up in the other a cappella pieces on the concert program, especially in the haunting setting "Deliver me, o Lord" by Tine Bec.
