Why a moated castle doesn't look like a castle and yet is one... On the trail of the Count Hahn family in Liepen from 1337 to 2024
From 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on September 8, we invite you to Wasserburg Liepen. On this day, we will be pulling up the drawbridge and look forward to welcoming interested guests who would like to find out more about our house, its development and us as a family.
Guided tour for adults: At 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. we will tell you something about the history of the moated castle, the building and the Hahn family, peppered with little anecdotes.
Guided tour for children: We offer an extra guided tour for children at 12 noon and 2 pm. Is the vaulted cellar haunted? There was once a silver treasure in Liepen, but where? How did knights defend themselves in the past?
In addition, the vaulted cellar with our products from the Hahnschen Gutsmanufaktur will be open for tasting. We will provide refreshments.
Parking spaces are available. Admission free.
