Tom Wollenberg, born 1989 in Neubrandenburg, Germany, uses painting for his live performances. Before training as a media designer, he traveled to India as a volunteer, where he discovered his love for the different, rich and diverse cultures and their various ways of life. In 2012, he completed his training and continued his journey towards Japan. It was at this time that he realized the importance of abandoning inherited concepts to embrace new ideas. This allowed him to broaden his perspective on art and life.

"I try to depict man and his environment in an increasingly fragmented world."

This artist statement captures the challenge of representing the relationship between people and the environment in a world that is perceived as increasingly fragmented. It shows his interest in exploring this theme and how he attempts to capture and reflect this fragmentation through his art.
