On Sunday, 25.05.2025 at 16:00, the Brandenburg Concert Orchestra Eberswalde will celebrate a special anniversary with the concert "200 Years of Johann Strauss" in the Dargun Monastery and Palace complex. Celebrate with us the milestone birthday of the great "Waltz King" Johann Strauss and experience an afternoon full of elegance and Viennese charm.
The Eberswalde ensemble under the direction of Urs-Michael Theus, together with soprano Thea Schütte, will present the immortal melodies of the famous composer and his companions, which have been capturing hearts for two centuries. From the lively "An der schönen blauen Donau" to the rousing "Tritsch-Tratsch-Polka" and the magnificent "Kaiserwalzer" - let yourself be enchanted by the glamorous rhythms and festive sounds. This concert is a tribute to one of the greatest musicians of his time, who made the Viennese waltz world-famous.
The concert is planned as an open-air event. If the weather is very unstable, it will be moved to the St. Marien monastery church at short notice.
