In this concert, guitarist Roger Tristao Adao will play traditional flamenco dances as well as composed Spanish guitar music and show how composers have drawn on traditional Spanish music in order to artfully incorporate its melodies and rhythms.

Inspired by flamenco, in which guitar music and dance are inextricably linked, the American dancer Sophia Barr has developed her own choreographies to classical guitar music. She traces the emotional content of the wonderful guitar music and translates it into gestures and movements in her dance. In this way, the music in this concert can not only be heard, but also seen.

The audience will be guided through the program by short explanations.

After the concert, we offer a glass of wine or juice and canapés.
